Hi, I’m Buddy!

I was born in Idaho, and raised in Montana, spending my childhood in towns that were small enough to not have any stop lights. I currently live in Conway with my wife, son, dog, and four cats.

I attended undergrad at BYU-I in Rexburg, Idaho. That place was windier than Chicago, and got more snow than Montana. After freezing for several long years I earned my bachelor’s degree in a mix of pre-law studies (added in my final year of school) and environmental geology.

I didn’t originally plan on going to law school, however, I had a family member suggest that I was not smart enough to finish college. I of course responded by letting them know that I was going to be a lawyer. After getting off the phone I had to do some research on how exactly one becomes a lawyer, because my knowledge of the law was pretty limited to what you see in movies, which is surprisingly inaccurate.

Law school was no walk in the park. After starting as a fulltime student at Bowen, my kid got sick and I had to defer school for a year. I made it back to school the next year and finished law school in 2025.

During my time at Bowen I worked as a Bowen Fellow, where I was able to help the first year students navigate the start of their law school journey. I also joined Phi Alpha Delta, a law fraternity that connected me with a lot of practicing attorneys, and mentors who have helped me immensely in my legal career.

Growing up, I knew what it was like to struggle, and saw firsthand how difficult it can be to bounce back after life bombards you with all its troubles. After passing the bar, I knew that I wanted my focus to be on helping people have a brighter future. Here at Lion Legal, I am accomplishing that goal by helping our clients take back control of their financial future in our Bankruptcy Division.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors and playing sports. My family and I go camping as often as weather permits, and when the weather doesn’t cooperate, we love to read books and watch movies together.
