DUI/DWI
In Arkansas, the law does not allow prosecutors to reduce or dismiss DWIs. This means your only options are to plead guilty, or go to trial. A conviction affects your future ability to obtain employment, and increases insurance premiums.
Lion Legal fights DWIs if there is a chance of prevailing at trial. If we don’t have grounds to win at trial, the goal turns to obtaining the best sentence for you. For a first offense, the court may order the following:
- A fine ranging from $150-$1,000
- One day to one year in jail
- Alcohol and MADD classes
- 6-month driver’s license suspension with a reinstatement fee
- A required interlock on your vehicle
How much does DUI/DWI defense cost?
DWIs can be misdemeanors or felonies depending on prior convictions. Check out our Misdemeanor and Felony pages for pricing.
